Past
His mother was not. She wanted nothing to do with him. She would never share her bed with an angel. They were beneath her. This angered the angel whom decided to show her just how beneath her he really was by taking her by force. It was not a one time thing. The angel would take her every night that she was there. Slowly she slipped deeper into depression. The demon general noticing her change decided to send her home. He believed that being so close to war between heaven and hell had gotten to her, and she was content to allow him to believe that was the case. She didn't want anyone to know what the angel had done to her on a nightly bases. She thought that would be the last she saw anything of the angel.
Shortly after returning she found out she was with child. There were only two options whom the father might be. She hoped that it wasn't the angel because if it was she'll have to admit what he had done to her. Her general rushed to her side upon hearing the news. He was overjoyed by the news. He already had his heir, but that didn't mean that their child couldn't achieve greatness. He would provide their child with everything he did for the children he had with his wife. Indivara's mother listen to him talk of his plan for their child and tried to let herself get swept away by her general's dream, but within the back of her mind was her fear that the child growing within her was the angel's.
The day for Indivara to be born finally arrived. The only person allowed within the birthing chamber with his mother was the the midwife. After hours of labor, Indivara came crying into the world. It was clear as soon as he was born that the angel was his father. The midwife was horrified what she saw. She like other demons held a deep hatred for angels, and like many--both demonic and angelic--believed that those children born of the union between angels and demons were abominations. The midwife rushed out of the room to inform the general that the child wasn't his and that Indivara's mother was trying to deceive him into believing that Indivara was.
This was not something his mother could allow. She killed the midwife and tore the angelic wing's from Indivara's back. She didn't care if her newborn child suffered from the negative effects that angels are known to experience when they lose their wings. The only thing she cared about was keeping her secret. Her general hearing the commotion came rushing into the room to find the midwife dead, and before he could inquire what had happened Indivara's mother told him that when the child was born his powers went wild killing the midwife. This pleased the demon whom could only imagine the things Indivara might achieve with the immense power his mother claimed he possessed.
The general took on an active role in Indivara's upbringing. Training him how to use his powers personally, and it became clear just how much power Indivara had. There was a part of the general that wished to name Indivara his heir. In order to do his he would need to divorce his wife or remove his son from the picture, but he loved them too much to do either of those options. Aside from the fact that his mother only ever paid attention to him when the general was around or when she was plucking the wings from his back that kept growing back no matter how many times she tore them off his existence was a happy one. That all changed just a month shy of his ninth birthday.
The general had taken Indivara out into the wilderness for some more intensive training. During their exercise the cliff that Indivara had been standing upon gave way beneath him and sent Indivara to the ground below. The general came rushing to the edge, hoping that Indivara somehow managed to grab onto something on the way down but fearing for the worst. At first, he thought the worst happened that his son was splattered below, but than he looked up and what he saw was much worse. Indivara's angelic side had activated during the fall causing his wings to grow at a much faster rate. So fast in fact that they broke free just as the cliff edge was crumbling away from beneath his feet.
It became perfectly clear whose Indivara's father really was, and the general was pissed. He like so many shared the belief that being such as Indivara were abominations. He grabbed Indivara's hand and dragged him back to his mother. He demanded to know why she allowed him to believe this thing was his child as he flung Indivara before her. His mother still not wanting to admit what the angel had done to her, but she could not deny that she had a relationship with one. Indivara was proof of this fact. So, she told the demon that Indivara was all apart of her plan to take over his title and position. She had tried to get herself pregnant with his child, but that proved to be difficult.
She was willing to keep trying, but than she received news that he was growing bored of her and was going to dismiss her. She knew she had to get with child right away, and she heard rumors that an angel always get someone pregnant when they sleep with them. She didn't believe that an angel had more ability to get someone with child than anyone else, but she was desperate that she figured she have nothing to lose by trying. It worked. She got with child by sleeping with an angel only once. When her child proved to be extremely powerful, she thought for certain he would replace his currant heir with Indivara. However, that never happened and now it seemed he knew the truth.
She would just have to sell Indivara to the highest bidder. In spite, being an abomination there were many demons whom would pay a great deal to acquire someone like Indivara as their pet. The general outraged over what Indivara's mother had done killed her right on the spot. He knew that Indivara wasn't to blame for his mother's deception, but try as he might he couldn't stop looking at Indivara with disgust. He decided to do as Indivara's mother claimed she was going to do and sell Indivara to the highest bidder. The demon that ended up buying Indivara was a cruel man whom got immense pleasure out of torturing his newest toy.
Indivara endured his master cruelty for years, but he harnessed his powers in secret until one day he decided it was time to stop being someone's play thing. He killed his master. The fact that his master had been such a high ranking demon---higher than the general he had called father for nearly the first nine years of his life--had many demons decided to leave Indivara alone. However, there were demons whom believed they could make Indivara submit to them and they attempted to do such a thing. Indivara repelled any attack they throw his way. Eventually, those whom wished to make Indivara theirs came to the realization that they were barking up the wrong tree. Indivara had grown too powerful for them.
Indivara decided to join the army of hell, and quickly worked his way up to the rank of one of the four horseman. In spite, what human religion might have one believe the horseman are not the harbinger of the last judgement. Through, the idea does rather excites Indivara. The four horsemen are the highest ranking generals within hell's army, and many believe they stand only second the kings of hell. He was Pestilence. It wasn't long after he became one of the four horsemen that he met the angelic sisters Delphina and Daniella. He met Delphina upon the field of battle. They were impressed with each others' abilities as wars, and became fast friends. Soon that friendship turned into something more that lead to the birth of his son.
Near the same the same time Indivara met Delphina, he also met Daniella and he took her as a lover as well. Eventually, Delphina decided to break things off with Indivara. While he suspect her reason behind her decision he never came right out and asked her. More than that because of the love he held for her he respected her decision. He just wanted her to be happy even if it wasn't with him. The years drifted by and Indivara kept in contract with both Delphina and Daniella, but eventually any news he heard about them came only from the grapevine..
Recently, he became reacquainted with Delphina. He encountered her in the last place he would expect to find her, but detail doesn't matter. What matters is that some of the rumors he heard was true. She had lost her wings. It seems for the time being that she is fighting off the madness that tends to overcome an angel after the lost of their wings, but he is uncertain how long this will remain. During this encounter she asked him to safe guard her daughter whom due to her heritage is a more sought after than someone of Indivara's. This was not the only reason Delphina wished for him to protect her daughter--Aliya She does not know the truth of what she is. She believed she is human, but her heritage came with a few issue if left uncheck could result in her death.
He agreed, and after a little discussion he came up with a way to get into Aliya. He would pose as a teacher at her school, and see how things will progress there. He has been exploring the city that Aliya's school is located within in order to get a feel of things. It has been awhile since he had been out of hell, and he is very curious how much things have changed. More than that, he know learning stuff will help him better with his role as Aliya's newest teacher.
